Types of Gears
We expertise in manufacturing
different types of gears with different performance specification
depending on the industrial applications. The basic function of the gear
is to alter the speed of the motor by converting the input of a prime
mover into an output with high torque and low RPM.
Gears are extensively used in almost every industry right from
agriculture to aerospace, from mining to paper and pulp industry. To
fulfill the varying needs of our customers, we supply gears in variety
of capacities, sizes and speed ratio. Following are the most popular
types of gears that find application in diverse industries.
Girth gears are extensively used in most of the mills and kiln
drive system. These gears are one of the highest cost component in the
entire drive assembly. The girth gears have a very big diameter and high
precision finish. The girth gears have a high efficiency and its overall
life depends upon the proper lubrication and alignment.
Material : MS or Alloy Steel, Carbon Steel as per ASTM, BS, IS,
AISI, SAE or any as per customer requirement
Manufacturing Capacity : 10mm to 12,000mm Outside Diameter.
Module : Upto 60 Module.
Type : Spur
Differential gear is an arrangement connecting two gears in the
same line and dividing the line of force. This arrangement allows one of
the axle to turn faster than the other. These gears are commonly used in
automobiles to permit a difference in axle speed while turning. These
gears are available in two different designs, hypoid and spiral.
Produced with the advent of trawling, ground gears are known for
their efficiency and capability to carry heavy loads. The teethes of
ground gears have an ideal amount tip and root relief which ensures
quiet operation of the system. The ground gears assure high transmission
accuracy.
Material : MS or Alloy Steel, Carbon Steel as per ASTM, BS, IS,
AISI, SAE or any as per customer requirement.
Manufacturing Capacity : 50mm to 1,200mm Outside Diameter.
Module : Upto 16 Module.
Type : Spur and Helical
Ring gears, sometimes called as starter rings, are steel ring
with teeth that is fitted on periphery flexplate or flywheel of
combustion engine. These gears are extensively used for automotive
applications. The primary function of the starter ring is to transfer
torque from the starter motor pinion to the flywheel or flexplate to
rotate the engine to begin the cycle.
Rack gears consist of rack and pinions that are used to convert
rotational motion into linear and vice versa. The circular pinion
engages its teeth on the rack (a flat bar). These gears are available in
diverse material specification such as stainless steel, brass and
plastic. The rack gears are widely used in automobiles.
Material : MS or Alloy Steel, Carbon Steel as per ASTM, BS, IS,
AISI, SAE or any as per customer requirement.
Manufacturing Capacity : In Single or Multiple Pieces Upto Any
Length.
Module : Upto 20 Module.
Spur gears are the most basic type of parallel axis gears that
are used to change the speed of the rotation from one shaft to another.
These gears can also be used to change the direction of the rotation
(clock wise to anticlockwise or vice versa). Spur gears are mounted on
the shafts with parallel axis. This arrangement of gears are generally
used in simple machines like washing machines, clothes dryer or power
winches.
